On Saturday, June 6, 2015 68 volunteers repackaged 5,200 pounds of bulk beans into family size packages at the Mesa LDS Cannery.  This far exceeded the original goal of repackaging 5,000 pounds of beans with 80 volunteers.  The hard work of individuals, teams from SRP, Pinnacle West and Honor Health, and cannery staff will benefit 5,200 families seeking help at AAFB’s member food banks. “We’re very thankful to the LDS Cannery for their partnership in providing healthy foods to our members,” said Angie Rodgers, AAFB President & CEO. “Thank you to the volunteers for their help.  It was a great success.”
