Phoenix, AZ – April 14, 2023

The Board of Directors of the Arizona Food Bank Network (AzFBN) is pleased to announce that April Bradham has been appointed as AzFBN’s next President and CEO, effective April 13, 2023. April is succeeding Angie Rodgers, who was appointed by the Governor to be the Director of the Arizona Department of Economic Security in December 2022.

“April brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the role to ensure that the hungry people in Arizona have nutritious food on their table,” said Tom Kertis, board chair. “We look forward to working with April as we continue to serve food banks and find solutions for food insecurity in our state.”

April has been with AzFBN for more than seven years, and has helped the organization during a time when its programs expanded significantly. Most recently, as the Vice President of Network Services, she was responsible for programs that directly serve member food banks, including the No Borders No Limits produce program operations in Rio Rico, Arizona, which helps provide tens of millions of pounds of food, all of which is fresh produce, to food bank partners across the state and beyond.

“I am thrilled to guide and support the work of the talented and dedicated team at AzFBN,” said Bradham. “Serving so many organizations united with the complex mission to end hunger is truly an honor. I look forward to continuing helping our members get food to those in need today, while simultaneously looking for innovative ways to end hunger tomorrow.”

April came to AzFBN with more than 12 years of operations and business leadership experience in a variety of industries. She holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Arizona State University and a Bachelor’s Degree from The Sage Colleges in New York.
