This holiday season, the Association of Arizona Food Banks (AAFB) is pleased to share many wonderful seasonal promotions and activities to support AAFB, our member food banks, and those struggling with hunger:
- Give the Gift of Comfort at Copenhagen while Supporting AAFB: Now through January 19, donate a minimum of $50 at the point of sale, specifying that you want the donation to go to AAFB, and you will receive $200 off any Stressless seating or $400 off select Stressless Kensington, Mayfair or Chelsea recliners.
- Donate Funds and Food at any First Fidelity Bank Branch: Help us fight hunger by making a financial contribution to AAFB at any First Fidelity Bank branch location through January 9. While there, you can also drop off non-perishable food donations to benefit local food banks.
- Get a Hunger Relief License Plate: More than 2,000 Arizona hunger fighters have, and you can too! Makes a great gift! Each plate purchase benefits AAFB and our member food banks that collectively serve all 15 Arizona counties.
- Make a Secure Donation to AAFB – Makes a Great Gift: Donate before the end of the year and receive an Arizona tax credit if you qualify. You can even make a contribution in honor or memory of family members,
friends, colleagues, or loved ones. Acknowledgements of your thoughtful gift – without the dollar amount listed – will be sent to your honorees if you wish.

Once January rolls around, there are still numerous activities and promotions to take part in that help fight hunger and benefit AAFB and Arizona’s food banks:
- Support AAFB at Hula’s Modern Tiki this January: As part of their Mahalo Mondays program, Hula’s Modern Tiki will donate 10% of their gross proceeds from both their Phoenix and Scottsdale locations to AAFB every Monday in January. Hula’s Modern Tiki is a modern, urban twist on the classic tiki bars and restaurants of the ‘50s and ‘60s, featuring a menu with a fusion of island and American flavors. Hula’s Modern Tiki is located at 4700 N. Central Avenue just south of Camelback Road in Phoenix, and in
Scottsdale at 7213 E. First Avenue in the heart of old town.
- Attend the Arizona SouperBowl of Caring “Souper Kickoff Luncheon:” As we celebrate the 49th Super Bowl, let us be mindful of those without enough to eat. Help support those struggling with hunger while eating soup for lunch on Wednesday, January 14 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul’s Family Dining Room at 420 W. Watkins Road in Phoenix. While there, learn about statewide food drives and other initiatives leading up to the Super Bowl on February 1.
